Children’s and Youth Work

Children and youth work is an important part of life at All Saints. We have programmes for children and young people of all ages. Have a look below at the different groups that meet throughout the week. All our leaders have enhanced DBS clearance. You can see our Safeguarding Policy here. Please do contact us if you would like to find out more.

SEN and Inclusion: We welcome all children, from all backgrounds and families. Does your child have specific additional needs? Please do contact us if you would like to chat about your child before coming along. We are currently working on our statement of inclusion and additional needs, so watch this space.

Junior Church

We are committed to teaching children about Jesus in an age appropriate and inclusive way. We aim to make this fun and engaging so that every child can be involved and participate fully in all the activities. We welcome all children to join us, from 0 – 14 years old. We stay together at the the start of the service, then split into different groups. These are the groups that run at the 10.30 service on a Sunday morning:

Creche (Babies & Toddlers)

babies-playing
We provide a creche for babies and toddlers aged 0-3 years. Children stay with their family at the start of the service and then leave for creche. They will be able to play and have a story. Should your child need you during the service, we will alert one of our Church Wardens who will come and fetch you. There is also an area in the entrance to church with a sound relay for parents who aren’t able to leave their baby in the creche, or for breast feeding mums.

Seekers (3 & 4 Year Olds)

A relaxed session for pre-school aged children. The children spend time playing and reading stories together. They have a short story from the Bible and make a simple craft to help them to understand what they’ve learnt.

Adventurers (Years R – 2)

Discoverers: (Year 3 – 6) Our aim is to teach the children about Jesus so they can learn more about Him and grow in knowledge and understanding. We do this with stories from the bible, games and activities that are fun and relevant.

The aim of Discoverers is to introduce the children to the Lord Jesus Christ as their Saviour, Lord and Friend and encourage and disciple them to grow in His love and guidance. This is done through many different and interactive mediums, including Bible stories, quizzes, songs, games and activities.

ChaTea Group (for the whole family)

ChaTea Group is a great place to make friends. We chat, eat yummy food and look at the Bible, finding out more about Jesus together. The kids even have their own group with craft, songs and a Bible story; giving the adults some head space to chat in peace!

We meet for a brew at 4.45pm whilst the kids have craft and games.
We then eat some food at 5pm before splitting (adults and children) to look at the Bible for 10-15 minutes.
Lastly, we come back together for pudding then head home around 6.15pm.

Great for families and everyone!
ChaTea Group on Tuesdays 4.45pm till 6.15pm in the church building entrance.
