Getting Involved
Commitment
Hebrews 10:23-25 “Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on towards love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another – and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”
At All Saints we ask people to commit to trying to do the following:
• Working to understand God’s word the Bible at home and in church.
• Telling others the gospel.
• Encouraging others in a loving way to serve Jesus.
• Meeting regularly together.
• Praying for our church family.
If you are new to All Saints or thinking about joining us, we run a short‘Joining In’ course which runs over 3 evenings. We would encourage you to do this course and see how you can best fit into our church family.
We recognise that God gives us different gifts and this means that we’ll find some things easier to do than others.
How Can I Get Involved?
1 Corinthians 12:27 “Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.”
At All Saints we believe that our church is a family. We encourage all new comers to think about doing Christianity Explored as it will help them understand better what we believe and give them an opportunity to meet new people in an informal setting.
As a family we ask people to be more involved than just turning up to a service on Sunday. The Bible describes a church like body were all the different parts are vital for the functioning of the whole. We believe that everyone who is a member of our church family has a vital role to play in help us follow Jesus. We don’t expect people to be serving the coffee on the second week they come, but we do hope that everyone who joins us will find the vital role that God has for them.
