This isn’t a post about norp. You’ll have to do the anagram. It’s just if I used the real word them I think our website host would block my blog. Though we might get about a million more hits! Which wouldn’t be a bad thing, especially when you consider the state of people looking for internet norp.
The thing is I have been shocked by two articles in the news today.
The first was a discussion of a new film on general release. It contains ‘”unsimulated” sex’. But apparently this isn’t norp, because though norp stars acted out the scene, the face’s of the reputable actors of the cast were superimposed in editing!
The second was the latest advice from government backed sexual advice charities. It said that teachers shouldn’t try to stop pupils watching norpography, but rather should emphasise that its not “the best way to learn about sex because it does not reflect real life, and can therefore be worrying, confusing and frightening for young people.”
The areas of confusion include showing “…perfect bodies and exaggerated prowess.”
So the reason not to watch norp is that you might be anxious that your abs weren’t up to much or you’re not that “successful”. There’s no idea that norp might be in itself a bad thing. Only that it might make you feel bad about yourself!
The Bible has a far better reason to avoid all forms of sexual immorality. By which it means anything other than sex between and man and woman in marriage. It is that God created sex as the ultimate act of intimacy between two people. It is a physical union that cannot be trivialised and that must not be misused. Norp always trivialises sex, always misuses sex and always requires sexual immorality in it’s production.
I don’t expect people who aren’t Christians to agree with me about this. But it saddens me to see the way that people are damaging themselves and their children as they determinedly rip our culture away from it’s biblical moorings.
